Nepalese man held in Delhi for killing his uncle over Rs 15,000

A 46-year-old Nepalese man was arrested in Central Delhi's Daryaganj area for allegedly killing his uncle who failed to return Rs 15,000 that he had borrowed from him, police said on Thursday. The accused was identified as Tekraj Saud, a native of Bajura in Nepal, they said, adding that he was previously involved in five cases of burglary and theft in the national capital. Govt to pay Rs 10.23cr for police transport during LS polls

The state government sanctioned Rs 10.23 crore for State Transport (ST) buses and special trains, which were hired during 2019 Lok Sabha elections for the movement of the police force, an official said on Thursday. The home department sanctioned a proposal to make payments of Rs 9.64 crore to ST buses and Rs 59.13 lakh for special trains, he said. A jeweller here was allegedly duped of around Rs 1.31 crore by two traders from Punjab's Ludhiana, according to an FIR. According to the complaint filed by Praveen Kumar, proprietor of Kanha Jems and Art Gallery, two brothers--Gyaneshwar Sood and Yogeshwar Sood--from Ludhiana had given an order for a gold umbrella for Lord Badrinath. India to appeal against WTO panel ruling on export incentives

India will appeal against the ruling of WTO's dispute settlement panel, which held that domestic export incentive schemes are inconsistent with global trade norms, an official said. The ruling has stated that India should not provide subsidies based on export performance.
