U.S. stocks reversed course mid-afternoon to close the session higher as investors took heart from efforts from the World Health Organization to contain the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added about 124 points, 0.4%, to close near 28,859, while the S&P 500 closed about 10 points, 0.3%, higher, around 3,284. The Nasdaq was about 24 points, 0.4%, higher, closing near 9,299. Separately, shares of Tesla rocketed higher after beating forecasts, but UPS shares slid after revenues missed expectations.
