
Thirteen people were killed in a stampede after police in Peru raided an illegal nightclub party that was violating the country’s coronavirus lockdown, authorities said. The deadly incident happened Saturday night at Thomas Restobar Club in Lima’s Los Olivos district, where about 120 revelers were gathered despite an ongoing ban on large crowds and a night-time curfew.
