Hanke gave an interview for Tehran Times, Iran’s prominent daily newspaper.  In his remarks Prof. Hanke stated: the sanction is a failed policy, and that the U.S. is totally addicted to sanctions as an “economic weapon of war. At present, the U.S. has in place 8,842 sanctions."  Prof. Steve H. Hanke, is a professor of applied economics at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
