Times of Malta

Justice for Lassana Cisse Lassana Cisse was murdered in a racially motivated attack three years ago. Only now has his body been returned to relatives in the Ivory Coast. That, in itself, is shameful. Lassana Cisse I understand that COVID slowed the process down. I doubt if it should have stopped it. More importantly, two soldiers were arrested and charged with his murder. This is in addition to charges against the same two for the attempted murder of another two men, not to mention a hit-and-run incident as well. Читать дальше...

Valletta should not be another Paceville – Christian Micallef

Times of Malta

Parliament will tomorrow debate a motion to revoke two legal notices that extend the time window within which bars and other commercial establishments may play street music from 11pm to 1am in a number of major streets in Valletta.  These two legal notices were published by stealth by the government in early June, with no prior notice and without any form of consultation with the residents and other key stakeholders or their representatives within the local council or district MPs. Fighting for life, for a country – Ella Manduca

Times of Malta

How does one be a representative of one’s country? Is it through intense nationalism, a patriotism as bright as our sun? Is it a flag on one’s back and the history of a nation on one’s tongue? So, I bought a flag, I brushed up on our history. Half of my suitcase was filled with Twistees, sure I would be fine. Then, the question of nationalism entered the picture. Читать дальше...

Whitchurch Alport V Chester FC - Match Thread #1 - Pre-Season Friendly

Deva Chat

Football returns as we make the journey to Shropshire to take on Whitchurch Alport away tonight in our first match of pre-season and our first away match of pre-season where we look to start off in fashion. As Calum has already outlined, pre-season is very much all about assessing different formations, tactics, etc. rather than results, so considering tonight’s... Читать дальше...
