A bitter afternoon in Sinsheim: TSG Hoffenheim have succumbed to a 3-1 (2-0) loss to 1. FC Cologne. In the first half in particular, TSG did not perform satisfactorily and fell 2-0 behind to goals from Florian Kainz (18, handball penalty) and Davie Selke (39). Hoffenheim played a much more attacking game in the second period but could not pull a goal back. Jan Thielmann (90+2) and Kasper Dolberg (90+4) then found the net in second-half stoppage time.
