NTPC Q4 Results: Profit falls 6% YoY to Rs 4,871 crore, revenue up 19%

Despite a 19% increase in revenue from operations, NTPC's consolidated net profit fell. There was also a marginal decline in revenues quarter-on-quarter basis. The power generation major's EBITDA for the quarter was reported at Rs 11,942 crore with margins of 26.9%. The Board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 3 per equity share for the financial year ended March. The final dividend is in addition to the interim dividend of Rs 4.25 per equity share paid in February.

Bank loan fraud: ED attaches Rs 122 cr assets of Pune businessmen, others

RBI withdraws Rs 2000 note from circulation, to remain legal tender; exchange facility available till Sept 30

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 19 (ANI): The Reserve Bank of India has decided to withdraw the Rs 2000 denomination banknotes from circulation but they will continue to remain as legal tender. It has advised banks to stop issuing Rs 2000 denomination banknotes with immediate effect.
