The U.S. Coast Guard and the company leading the expedition say a missing submersible imploded near the wreckage of the Titanic, killing all five people on board. The implosion was confirmed Thursday. Experts had said that under intense pressure at extreme depths, the Titan’s hull could implode. That would mean instant death for the five passengers who were aboard.
