The South African Hockey IPT tournament takes place in August at Riverside Sports in KwaZulu Natal. The tournament offers a tantalizing battle into South African hockey supremacy it also marks a critical opportunity for development for the national under 21 side in their preparation for the FIH Junior World Cup in Chile in December.

South African Hockey has announced the South African Under 21 Men’s side that will take part in the 2023 SA Hockey IPT in KwaZulu Natal in August. The young South Africans performed admirably at the last tournament in securing a bronze medal, with ambitions on building towards the FIH Hockey Junior World Cup in Malaysia in December the key focus.

The partnership, which has been driven by the players, highlights the commitment of the Vantage Black Sticks to this cause and will see the teams and the organisation work together to raise awareness about the importance of mental health.

Hockey Australia is thrilled to have been allocated additional high performance funding as part of the $20 million Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Preparation Fund announced by the Australian Sports Commission today.

The England U18 Girls and Boys travelled to Krefeld, Germany to play in the EHF EuroHockey U18 Youth Championships from 8-16 July.
