Consumer electronics brand Skyball to generate Rs 40 crore revenue from smartwatch category

Consumer electronics brand, Skyball, is set to launch five new models of smartwatches to achieve a sales volume of 100,000 units this year. The company expects the smartwatch category to yield revenue of Rs 40 crore, and to contribute approximately INR40 crore to Skyball's other overall revenue, expected to reach Rs 100 crore in its first year of operation.

Swedish retailer H&M sues Chinese rival Shein in Hong Kong court

Retail giant Hennes & Mauritz has sued its fast-growing rival Shein in a Hong Kong court for copyright infringement, the Swedish fashion juggernaut said Tuesday. Copyright infringement lawsuits are common in the fast-fashion world but it is often smaller, independent designers lodging complaints against giant retailers, making H&M's suit against Shein unusual.

Underlying sales at the consumer goods giant rose by 9.1 per cent for the first half of 2023, following healthy demand for its 'billion-plus euro' brands and strong trade across all five core business segments.
