In Reply We thank Dr Goldenberg for his Letter regarding our recent study, which found that the prevalence of diabetes and obesity increased among young adults aged 20 to 44 years from 2009 to March 2020. We also found that hyperlipidemia (defined as a total cholesterol level of 200 mg/dL or greater) decreased from 40.5% to 36.1%, corresponding with an improvement in age-adjusted mean total cholesterol (from 189 mg/dL to 181 mg/dL) in young adults.
