A 2.5-year-old girl from Uttar Pradesh's Jalaun district died after being bitten by a stray dog. The girl was bitten, and instead of seeing a qualified doctor, was taken to a quack. Her symptoms of rabies were supposedly ignored by the family, and she started biting and scratching those around her before collapsing. During the two weeks between the bite and her death, the girl reportedly bit 40 other people, according to reports.

South Western Railway plans to set up theme-based, air-conditioned rail-coach restaurants with state-of-the-art facilities at KSR Bengaluru City Railway Station and the newly inaugurated Sir M Visvesvarya Terminal Bengaluru Station.
