President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Monday swore in Dr Evans Aggrey-Darkoh as Head of the Civil Service of Ghana. Until Dr Aggrey-Darkoh rsquo;s appointment on August 2, 2023, to act as Head of the Civil Service, pending receipt of the constitutionally required advice from the Public Service Commission, he was the Chief Director of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.

DR Congo accuses Rwanda of airport 'drone attack,' conflict intensifies

DR Congo's army on Saturday accused Rwanda of carrying out a night-time drone attack that damaged civilian aircraft at the airport in the strategic eastern city of Goma. Fighting has flared in recent days around the town of Sake, 20 kilometres from Goma, between M23 rebels -- which Kinshasa says are backed by Kigali -- and Congolese government forces.
