Indianising the Navy: Kurta-pyjama debuts at Naval Officers' Mess
The Indian Navy has introduced the kurta-pyjama attire into its messes, with the recently permitted ethnic attire making its debut at a Naval Officers' Mess in New Delhi. Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar and Vice Chief Vice Admiral Dinesh Tripathi, along with other officers, donned the new attire. The Navy chief highlighted the Navy's achievements in various operations and infrastructure development. Last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a new naval ensign at the commissioning ceremony of aircraft carrier INS Vikrant.
