Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah take oath as member of 18th Lok Sabha

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari were sworn in as members of the 18th Lok Sabha. Singh retained the Lucknow seat, Shah retured from Gandhinagar, and Gadkari from Nagpur. Senior members Radha Mohan Singh and Faggan Singh Kulaste took oath as well and will assist pro-tem speaker B Mahtab in administering oaths over two days. Opposition members K Suresh, T R Baalu, and Sudip Bandyopadhyay did not take their oaths in protest.
