A man in Maine who confessed to killing his parents and two of their friends and wounding three people in a highway shooting has been sentenced to life in prison. Joseph Eaton pleaded guilty on Monday to murder and other charges. He previously had entered an insanity defense, but withdrew it late last year. Anguished family members of the victims gave emotional testimony before the sentencing, and Eaton apologized to them.
