A recent Consumer Reports study has found that one-third of cinnamon products tested contain elevated lead levels. The highest levels were detected in Paras and EGN cinnamon powders. Lead exposure poses significant health risks, especially for children and pregnant women. Consumers are advised to discard any spices with lead levels exceeding 1 part per million.
