Warriors’ Stephen Curry selected for Alvin Attles Community Impact Award
TORONTO — Warriors guard Stephen Curry has received the Alvin Attles Community Impact Award for his efforts to help underserved youth, the team announced Sunday.
The award is given to a current Golden State player who embodies the legacy of Attles, a former Warriors player and coach known for his commitment to the community. The Warriors Community Foundation is donating $15,000 to The Stephen & Ayesha Curry Family Foundation, which works to end childhood hunger, ensure world-wide access to quality education and teach kids healthy lifestyles.
Past winners of the Alvin Attles Community Impact Award include Harrison Barnes, Kevin Durant, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson.
