Imagine thinking you can tell Javier Báez whether he can or can’t score coming around third base. We can smile and laugh now, but after a close play at the plate, Báez scored from first base to tie Tuesday night’s game against the Rockies.
Longtime Rockies outfielder Carlos González hit a line drive to center field in the second inning and racing around third base Báez saw the stop sign and blew right past it.
Turns out it was the right decision.
