Los Angeles gets 2 Proper Hotels

The popular, two-year-old San Francisco Proper Hotel at Market and McAllister has a new sister property to the south in Santa Monica. It's the first of three Proper properties due to open this year.

The 271-room Santa Monica Proper Hotel opens June 17 at 700 Wilshire Boulevard (at 7th Street) in Santa Monica, across the street from a city park and about a 10-minute walk from the beach. The luxury hotel is a combination of a remade 1920s-era Spanish-style office building and new construction, linked by a pedestrian bridge.
