The Leeds team of 2004-2007 was far more than just an off the cuff side. He came in and got the whole team to work really hard on core skills, which everyone admitted held them in good stead for the rest of their careers, as well as Leeds in the short-term.

I agree he stayed too long at Wire, but he's a plus for the game IMO - he's articulate and cares about things beyond his own club like - the horror - entertainment.

Put it this way, 50 years from now when people look back they'll see a guy who coached Leeds to their first Championship in over 30 years, and similarly Warrington to their first Challenge Cup in almost as long. How anyone can try to denigrate those achievements is beyond me.
