Melancon takes loss, but Giants’ bullpen solid overall

The San Francisco Giants’ losing record in their seven-game trip was sealed when reliever Mark Melancon gave up the deciding run in the 10th inning Sunday. Tough to blame the bullpen, though. Manager Bruce Bochy used 12 relievers in the three-game series in Arizona, and Melancon’s was the lone run allowed in 11 1/3 innings.
