Man sentenced to 30 years for fatal hit-and-run crash

DENVER (AP) — A Denver man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to second-degree murder for the death of a woman in a hit-and-run crash.

Denver prosecutors say 27-year-old Tyler White was sentenced on Friday for the 2016 death of Ariel Berryman. They say White was driving his Dodge Challenger 135 miles per hour on a street in southeast Denver when he caused a four-car crash that killed 28-year-old Berryman.

According to police, White ran from the crash on foot and was arrested a few hours later in a Denver park where two fishermen reported he was dancing naked in a lake.

White pleaded guilty in April to second-degree murder and menacing.
