Utah man accused of calling in bomb threat to Lowe's store
OGDEN, Utah (AP) — A disgruntled former employee of a Lowe's store in northern Utah has been charged with making a terroristic threat on accusations he called in a bomb threat to the store.
Charging documents show 60-year-old Kenneth David Gill was charged Thursday with the second-degree felony in 2nd District Court. Authorities say Gill called the Lowe's in Ogden on July 16 and told someone there was a bomb in the building. Then he hung up.
Everyone evacuated the building and a bomb squad was called over.
According to the documents police later located Gill at his home. Gill told police he had made the threat because he was angry about getting fired days earlier and wanted to scare the employees.
He faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
