NATIONAL SUMMARY
An area of low pressure will spread showers and heavy
thunderstorms from the Ohio Valley eastward across the
Middle Atlantic and southern New England today. Some of
these storms will be capable of producing flooding
downpours and damaging wind gusts. To the south, scattered
afternoon thunderstorms will occur across Florida and well
as along the Gulf Coast. Elsewhere, high pressure will
bring dry weather to the Great Lakes as well as much of the
northern and central Plains. Farther west, a frontal
boundary will bring a couple of afternoon thunderstorms to
western Montana, Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico. Dry
weather will continue across the Pacific Northwest as well
as across California.
