A’s recall Nick Martini after Brett Anderson placed on paternity list

The Oakland A’s recalled outfielder Nick Martini on Monday when starter Brett Anderson was placed on the paternity list. Martini, a key figure during the Athletics’ race to the playoffs last September, was batting .343 at Triple-A Las Vegas.
