MATTOON, Ill. (AP) _ First Mid-Illinois Bancshares Inc. (FMBH) on Thursday reported second-quarter earnings of $11 million.

The bank, based in Mattoon, Illinois, said it had earnings of 66 cents per share.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 74 cents per share.

The bank holding company posted revenue of $51.2 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $44.9 million, also falling short of Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $45.3 million.

First Mid-Illinois shares have risen almost 6% since the beginning of the year. The stock has decreased 17% in the last 12 months.
