The Nation's Weather for Tuesday, August 13, 2019
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
The risk for flooding downpours and severe thunderstorms
will shift east across the Northeast and mid-Atlantic states
tomorrow. A trailing frontal boundary across the Ohio Valley
will also serve as a focal point for additional shower and
thunderstorm development. Across Florida and the coastal
Deep South, showers and thunderstorms will fire up in spots,
mainly in the afternoon. Much of Texas and the Desert
Southwest will continue to bake under triple-digit heat once
again as a dome of high pressure remains overhead. Along the
northern periphery of this high pressure, a weak storm
system will spark showers and storms in spots across the
Midwest. Much of the Western states will enjoy seasonably
warm conditions along with a mostly sunny sky.
