FBI: Body found in forest believed to be missing Gary woman
THORNTON, Ill. (AP) — The FBI says a body found this week in a northeastern Illinois forest preserve is believed to be that of a Gary, Indiana, woman who vanished in July.
The agency also said Wednesday that it's offering up to a $10,000 reward for information that leads authorities to a Gary man who's considered a person of interest in 27-year-old Sidne-Nichole Buchanan's death.
The FBI says 38-year-old James McGhee was the last person Buchanan was known to be with before she vanished July 27 after attending a concert in Tinley Park.
The FBI says a body believed to be that of Buchanan was found in the Thornton-Lansing Road Forest Preserve in south suburban Chicago.
An autopsy was scheduled for Wednesday on the body.
