The Nation's Weather for Friday, August 30, 2019
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A weak storm system will bring very spotty showers and
thunderstorms to the interior Northeast tomorrow, but most
areas are likely to be dry. Dry weather with sunshine is in
store across the Upper Midwest as well as much of the
Southeast. Florida will be an exception to this rule as
numerous thunderstorms will bubble up. Preparations should
be ongoing in Florida ahead of Hurricane Dorian's expected
arrival over the holiday weekend. Meanwhile, rain and
thunderstorms will gather over the central Plains, with
localized flooding possible. Showers and thunderstorms will
also be scattered over the Rockies, northern Plains and
eastern Texas. Most areas from the Pacific Northwest to the
Desert Southwest can expect dry weather to prevail.
