UAlbany football out to end road woes
UAlbany has dropped its last 10 games away from Casey Stadium. It's the longest road losing streak in the history of the program, surpassing nine straight setbacks in 1973-74 and 1984-85.
The Great Danes (1-1) will try to break that slump when they face Monmouth (1-1) of the Big South Conference in West Long Branch, N.J. on Saturday at 1 p.m.
"We feel like we can beat anybody, no matter if it's on the road or home,'' Culnan said. "It's the same field. They're playing on a turf field. It's the same dimensions. There shouldn't be any issue with it being home and away. But we've got prove that this week."
The Great Danes are coming off a 45-3 blowout of Bryant of the Northeast Conference at home last Saturday. They should face a much stiffer challenge against Monmouth (1-1), picked to finish second in the Big South preseason poll.
