BAYONNE, N.J. (AP) _ BCB Bancorp Inc. (BCBP) on Friday reported third-quarter earnings of $4.9 million.

The bank, based in Bayonne, New Jersey, said it had earnings of 30 cents per share.

The community bank posted revenue of $32.8 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $22.1 million, which beat Street forecasts.

BCB Bancorp shares have climbed 23% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Friday, shares hit $12.92, a decline of nearly 2% in the last 12 months.
