DTE Energy: 3Q Earnings Snapshot

DETROIT (AP) _ DTE Energy Co. (DTE) on Monday reported third-quarter profit of $319 million.

On a per-share basis, the Detroit-based company said it had profit of $1.73. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to $1.91 per share.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2 per share.

DTE Energy expects full-year earnings in the range of $6.06 to $6.40 per share.

DTE Energy shares have increased 16% since the beginning of the year, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index has risen 21%. The stock has climbed 14% in the last 12 months.
