I think Sam has split with his wife...more than once was strong rumours and video footage of Sammy forgetting he’s married. From what I remember he has 2 kids; but isn’t with his wife anymore.

The injury will be real. They’ll have to be medical records/completed paperwork documentation which will be attached to Sams medical history and probably feature as the justification for mutually ending his contract with Souths; which will also need to be submitted to the NRL.

As I said previously; the idea of Sam recovering and getting the ‘bug’ to play again is entirely possible. He’d only be 32/33 (if he doesn’t recover quicker) and will be well rested after a period away from the game. As long as he keeps himself fit.

But for now...he’s done.
