Washington State Patrol: Death investigated as homicide

OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — Washington State Patrol officials have launched a homicide investigation into a man's death in the Olympia area.

The Olympian reports the man's body was found Saturday night near Capitol Lake.

Sgt. Darren Wright says the case is being treated as a homicide because the death did not appear natural.

The discovery of the body was reported by a local resident who found it off to the side of Deschutes Parkway near the lake.
