WIXOM, Mich. (AP) _ Rockwell Medical Inc. (RMTI) on Monday reported a loss of $7.9 million in its third quarter.

The Wixom, Michigan-based company said it had a loss of 12 cents per share.

The maker of products used in the treatment of kidney disease and anemia posted revenue of $15.4 million in the period.

In the final minutes of trading on Monday, the company's shares hit $1.93. A year ago, they were trading at $4.38.
