Albany High guard to sign with Siena women's basketball on Wednesday
Jackson orally committed to the Saints last summer, not a surprising decision for someone who transferred from Catholic Central to Albany High last year so she could be closer to her family.
Jackson had also considered Saint Joseph’s in Philadelphia and attended a camp there. But spending the next four years in Loudonville proved more appealing.
“I wanted to stay home,’’ Jackson explained. “I wanted to stay close to my family and be around them so they can come to my games.”
She becomes Albany coach Decky Lawson’s third player to go Division I, following Emia Willingham (Siena) and Mylah Chandler (Colgate).
