UAlbany football gets home game in NCAA playoffs

The Great Danes (8-4 overall, 6-2 Colonial Athletic Association) are making their second appearance in the FCS playoffs and their first since 2011.

“We’re thrilled,’’ UAlbany head coach Greg Gattuso said. “I think we’ve earned it. I think the kids have been really good and played really hard all year. We’ve learned how to win some close games and win road games so I’m proud of them for their dedication to the system and following what we asked them to do … It’s been a really good year and hopefully we can make it better.”
