49ers’ Jalen Hurd still not medically cleared; Joe Staley expected to return

Wide receiver Jalen Hurd has yet to be medically cleared after he suffered a stress fracture in his lower back in August, but 49ers general manager John Lynch said Tuesday the team is optimistic last year’s third-round pick will be available for the start of the offseason program in April.
