Mazda dealers extend free oil change offer for health care providers
Health care workers can likely get an oil change for their vehicle, thanks to Mazda carrying over its “Essential Car Care Program” through June 1.
Launched in mid-April to show its appreciation for U.S. health care workers who are on the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis, the Mazda North American Operation offer also includes using EPA-approved cleansers to treat areas that are often touched.
Furthermore, health care workers don’t necessarily have to drive a Mazda. Most standard make and models of cars, crossovers and SUVs are eligible. Excluded are exotic and classic vehicles, offroad vehicles, engines that require eight quarts or more of engine oil or any vehicle with special requirements.
“Our family of Mazda dealers and employees feel a deep sense of gratitude to the health care workers during these difficult times, and we are proud to be able to support them in communities across the country,” said Jeff Guyton, MNAO president. “We’ve seen the meaningful impact of this program first-hand, and we are excited to continue to give something back as a ‘thank you’ for their heroic efforts.”
Health care workers should be ready to show a valid employment identification badge or pay stub as proof they meet the requirements; see list below. The offer is not transferrable.
It’s best to contact one of the eight Houston-area Mazda dealers to check their service schedule and set up an appointment. Additionally, be prepared to provide the make, model and year, vehicle identification number and the engine size and type to ensure the service department has the correct parts and materials.
