NLL asks Times Union Center for arena proposal
Pro sports teams in New York have been given permission to hold training camps in the state, and Times Union Center general manager Bob Belber has stayed near his phone in case the Rangers, Islanders, Knicks, et al, are looking for a workout facility.
None of the above has called, but Belber did hear from the National Lacrosse League, which had an Albany franchise for four years in the early 2000s and may be interested in playing some games in the downtown arena again.
