NEW YORK (AP) _ MSG Networks Inc. (MSGN) on Thursday reported fiscal fourth-quarter net income of $55.9 million.

The New York-based company said it had net income of 97 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 62 cents per share.

The media company posted revenue of $152.1 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $185.2 million, or $2.92 per share. Revenue was reported as $685.8 million.

MSG Networks shares have decreased 39% since the beginning of the year.
