Brian Urlacher Supports Kyle Rittenhouse, Compares NBA Boycott To Brett Favre
Former Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher has opinions just like you and me, and he certainly isn’t shy about sharing what he feels about the current unrest in the United States.
Urlacher began Thursday by comparing Brett Favre playing on Monday Night Football after his father died to NBA players boycotting playoff games in protest of police brutality and racial injustice on Wednesday.
But he didn’t stop there, as Urlacher later liked a post on Instagram that showed a picture of Kyle Rittenhouse with text that reads, “Free Kyle Rittenhouse,” and “Patriot Lives Matter.”
Rittenhouse, 17, shot three people at the protest in Kenosha that began over the police shooting of Jacob Blake. Rittenhouse was charged with murder, accused of shooting two people to death at the protest Tuesday night.
The Bears, along with several other teams in the NFL, did not practice on Thursday following the protests in other sports leagues on Wednesday.
