Rodeo refinery fire extinguished; health advisory lifted
Contra Costa County hazardous materials officials said a fire at the ConocoPhillips 66 refinery in Rodeo was extinguished and a health advisory has been canceled.
Investigators were sent to the refinery after reports of a fire at about 3:15 p.m. A precautionary health advisory was issued for people with respiratory sensitivities but no shelter-in-place order was issued.
Details about the fire, which produced a cloud of thick black smoke, were not available.
