Police arrest teen in connection with Connecticut shooting

GOSHEN, Conn. (AP) — Authorities say a 17-year-old has been arrested and charged in connection with the shooting of a Torrington man.

Detectives arrested the teen on Sunday after an investigation into the shooting of 27-year-old Alfredo Castillo in Goshen around 2:30 a.m. Castillo's injuries are non-life threatening.

The youth is charged with assault, possession of a firearm and other offenses. He's being held at the Bridgeport Juvenile Detention Center until a court appearance on Monday. It wasn't immediately known if he has a lawyer.
