A possible dream — playing Quixote
Veteran Bay Area actor Ron Campbell did some serious clowning for Cirque du Soleil before he jumped into the shoes of a genius in “R. Buckminster Fuller: The History (and Mystery) of the Universe.”
This summer he’ll be tilting at windmills in Marin Shakespeare Company’s new adaptation of Miguel de Cervantes’ “Don Quixote.”
“We all have a little Don Quixote in us,” Campbell says. “We’re eternal optimists.”
Campbell calls this new version by Peter Anderson and Colin Heath “clear, touching and funny” and says playing the iconic role of a dreamer confronted by his own myth is a “dream come true.
