People are joking about what ‘the next stimulus’ is going to look like

People have been posting hilarious—and lowkey sad—"the next stimulus" memes on Twitter, which are full of terrible consolation prizes.

As the next COVID-related stimulus bill is on the horizon, pending Congressional vote, many aren't that excited about $600 possibly showing up in their bank account, precisely because it's (literally) too little, too late for millions of Americans affected by the pandemic. 

The Hill reported that on Friday Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.) again blocked a Bernie Sanders-backed proposal that would provide another round of much-needed $1,200 stimulus checks.

Twitter users are now making jokes and memes about how inconsequential sending $600 to any affected adult actually seems. Because survival is funny sometimes, right? 

"The government giving a $600 stimulus check to millions of people who's lives they intentionally ruined Is like giving a get well soon card to a man suffering from depression after you slept with his wife," user reporter Elijah Schaffer "joked."

Thanks to Dwight Schrute's "Schrute Bucks," which hold about as much value as Monopoly money, The Office showed up in the memes.

Others are equating the "next stimulus" to Hot Topic and Kohl's coupons.

Some are trying to maintain a positive attitude: "The stimulus check memes are so good... gov might be trying to kill us, but at least I'm going down laughing," @todd__coward tweeted.
