I don't at all - my point is if nothing changes we will not have any issues in respect of standards/regulations - to suggest otherwise is untrue
If someone decides to use modified grain that is outside the scope of current EU regulations you would expect the EU to reject it - not difficult.
They way Durham put it and the way all you remainers put it is the worst case outcome i.e. we switch all production to this methodology so we will not be able to export to the EU - we all know this is nonsense scaremongery.
Same goes for his pesticides piece.
But the UK is already starting to diverge. So when do you stop ignoring the rules? After a few months of divergence? A few years?
It's frankly jaw-dropping that Leavers should bemoan other nations asserting their sovereignty, asserting their laws. You were told this would happen, it pretty much had to happen under the Hard Brexit your government chose. To whine about it now is unbelievable.
If we wanted to avoid this element of being a third nation we should have negotiated a agreement which covered it off - as with all international agreements that would, of course, be a loss of "sovereignty", that nebulous concept which Leavers have a bizarre, bipolar fetishistic relationship with.
