Batman Respects G.I. Joe's Snake Eyes Like He Never Has a DC Hero

Batman respects G.I. Joe's Snake Eyes like he never has a DC hero. Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point #3 continues the Dark Knight's foray into the world of Fortnite. He has suddenly come up against Snake Eyes and as it turns out, the two have a lot of respect for one another. So much respect, that Batman is willing to accept a sacrifice that he normally wouldn't.
The latest issue of DC's video game crossover comic shows the broad potential this series has. In the previous issues, Batman is seen interacting with Catwoman and Harley Quinn. Now, Snake Eyes from G.I. Joe has also joined the battle royale. Going forward there could be plenty more foes for the World's Greatest Detective to come up against. More likely than not, however, no matter who it is, Batman is bound to play the game his way and make his own rules as he goes along.
Created by Donald Mustard, Christos Gage, Reilly Brown, Nelson Faro DeCastro, and John Kalisz, Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point #3 shows the Dark Knight falling into a bit of a pattern. In the last issue, he teamed up with Catwoman as they both tried to figure out the secrets to the mysterious world around them that prevents them from talking and continually resets their memory. By the end of the issue, Batman knew what it takes to get a "Victory Royale" — yet he didn't take victory for himself. He allowed Catwoman to move on before him. Now, he's partnering up again, but he's changing up the ending — with Snake Eyes.
After fighting with his new foe repeatedly, Batman finds a kindred spirit in Snake Eyes. The two come to respect each other and even develop their own method of communication. Yet when it's finally time for there to be a winner, Batman actually steps back for once and accepts the victory. Snake Eyes sees him off with a final salute, but this isn't normally something Batman would do. Typically, the Dark Knight is the one who sacrifices himself for others - he doesn't allow others to sacrifice themselves for him. Even with the Justice League he tends to be prepared to sacrifice himself or go through the tougher challenge. With Snake Eyes, Batman knows there's nothing to worry about, because they are truly equals.
Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point #2 showed that Batman and Catwoman made it to the center of the storm in multiple rounds, only failing to realize that they couldn't both succeed. His skills have made him a top contender. Batman is regularly making it to the storm, defeating foes along the way, and even successfully leads his allies towards victory. It is rather evident that he could have played another round after letting Snake Eyes through like Catwoman and been just as successful on the next turn - joining them both at the same time. Instead, in this third issue of Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point, Batman allows Snake Eyes to stay behind while he advances - a sign of respect he hasn't given to many DC heroes.
