Jersey Shore: Mike Sorrentino Shares Sweet Photo of Baby Romeo
Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and his wife, Lauren, are showing off their baby boy Romeo, who is the latest bundle of joy to join the Jersey Shore family. The first-time Jersey Shore parents welcomed Romeo Reign into the world last week, and their fans have since enjoyed a steady stream of the cutest Instagram pictures. Having a child has been a long time coming for Mr. and Mrs. Situation, so they can't be blamed for wanting to flaunt their adorable offspring.
When Lauren became pregnant in 2019, she and Mike, who had just finished up his eight-month stint in prison for tax evasion, were overjoyed. However, she miscarried seven weeks into the pregnancy. It was a devastating loss for the two, who felt their bright future was finally beginning after many difficult years. But that future wasn't completely out of reach. In November 2020, Jersey Shore's Mike and Lauren announced that "Baby Sitch" was expected to arrive the following May. Roomies and viewers alike were thrilled over the news.
Romeo Reign made his appearance right on schedule, weighing in at 6 lbs. 8 oz. Mike's Instagram page has been flooded with precious photos of his son, including a recent shot that shows Romeo peacefully asleep. One miniscule finger is resting against his face as he snuggles with a blanket and stuffed toy. A birthmark can be seen on his forehead. Many followers referred to this as an "angel's kiss" and said it means Romeo is a "true gift." Jersey Shore castmate Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio commented, "Mini Sitch," with three red emoji hearts. There's been nothing but love for Mike and Lauren as they embark on this next phase of life with a little one by their side. On Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Mike said on numerous occasions that he's ready to be a dad. When the MTV series premiered in 2009, this was not the case. Mike was a party boy determined to drink as much as he could and "smush" the hottest girls at the club. He later spiraled into an opioid addiction and had several failed attempts at recovery. But Jersey Shore's Mike eventually got clean and now celebrates five years sober. There's now no doubt that he'll be a role model and inspiration to Romeo.
Fans of Jersey Shore hope that "Baby Sitch" makes an appearance in an upcoming season. He'll get to meet all of the roomies' children, whom he'll likely grow up with as if they are family. The only cast members who have yet to procreate are Vinny Guadagnino, who seems to still enjoy playing the field, and the always-controversial Angelina Pivarnick. Though she's been married to Chris Larangeira since 2019, the pair continues to spark divorce rumors over minor incidents. Regardless, Jersey Shore's Mike and Lauren made it clear that Angelina won't be babysitting Romeo anytime soon.
